For over 40 years, Fondazione G. e D. De Marchi ETS has been a benchmark in pediatric care at the Policlinico di Milano. We work alongside doctors and families to ensure a holistic care model that combines medical-scientific excellence with the humanization of the hospital experience: from acquiring high-tech equipment and funding research to providing daily support for young patients.
To improve the quality of life for hospitalized children and offer them moments of joy and peace of mind, the Foundation organizes supported holidays, art therapy sessions, and pet therapy activities in collaboration with SICS (Italian Rescue Dog School). We also ensure the constant presence of our volunteers in the Emergency Department and hospital wards, offering vital psychological and financial support to families in need, as well as ongoing assistance to medical staff.
This impactful and visionary journey saw us lead the promotion and realization of “La Più Bella Pediatria del Mondo” (The Most Beautiful Pediatric Department in the World), redefining the spaces and welcoming environment of the pediatric ward within the New Policlinico di Milano.
Today, we are supporting a vital new milestone for healthcare in our region: the opening of the New Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Unit. To equip the new medical team with state-of-the-art clinical resources, the Foundation has committed to donating a high-tech biplane angiograph (Philips Azurion 7 B20/15) worth over €800,000.
This advanced image-guided therapy system provides surgeons with a real-time, ultra-high-resolution visual map, enabling complex procedures on newborns and children with extraordinary precision and a minimally invasive approach. A technological breakthrough that will serve not only cardiac surgery, but also pediatric dermatology and interventional radiology departments.
On the occasion of the Milano Marathon, we are turning this athletic challenge into a crucial clinical milestone. Running alongside Fondazione De Marchi means directly contributing to the acquisition of this vital equipment.
