RunChallenge

Running, Walking, Rolling… for all!

RunChallenge is a vibrant initiative by the nonprofit organization PlayMore! designed to promote sports, inclusion, and well-being — for all.Every week, more than 800 people across Italy and Europe take part in running, walking, and wheelchair-assist sessions to stay active, meet new people, and most of all… have fun!

RunChallenge is all about building a community where people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can connect through shared experiences. Participants include individuals with and without disabilities, volunteers, migrants, unaccompanied minors, students, families facing economic hardship, amateur athletes, and employees from partner companies.

Today, RunChallenge is active in 7 Italian cities and 5 across Europe: Milan, Naples, Cagliari, Verona, Parma, San Benedetto del Tronto, Bresso, Helsinki, Berlin, Bratislava, Madrid, and Thessaloniki. This growing movement is powered by people and companies who take part in weekly sessions and support the cause through volunteer work and corporate social responsibility. With its scalable model, RunChallenge invites everyone, everywhere to step up and discover their best selves — together, in harmony.

First of all, RC > for me, is LIFE! I swear, the Marathon was an experience I’ll always remember with immense joy!

Yesterday brought a happiness that will last a lifetime… we came home with emotions that will lift us through every finish line… or even just in tough moments, when I turn on the light, it’ll shine brighter than ever. That’s a fact. It’s not just about the kilometers we covered — it’s about who we covered them with.

ne start line and four finish lines: a celebration at every handover! A cheer and a pat on the back for every RunChallenger I reached —or who overtook me. 42 km, and when you're having this much fun, it actually feels too short — I didn’t want it to end.

Everyone challenged themselves and pushed beyond their limits. The hero of our relay team was our colleague Rossella, who had planned to walk the 14 km but ended up running them all—hitting one of your key goals: always striving to go beyond oneself. We truly felt and lived the spirit of the celebration, and your passion swept us away. I say 'us' because even those who didn't take part felt involved—just by looking at the beautiful photos taken by your amazing photographers.

All I can say is… thank you for existing! Seeing values like inclusion, solidarity, cooperation, and real sport come to life—not just empty words—is truly beautiful, and a great example for everyone. It makes you dream and believe a better world is possible! And let’s not forget our athletes, who train day after day with courage and determination—always with a smile. It was a joy to accompany them to the finish line!

Guys, for the fifth time (just like our five RunChallenge Marathons), thank you from the bottom of our hearts from RunChallenge Cagliari. The years may go by, but the emotions never fade.

PlayMore!

PlayMore! was founded in 2010 with the aim of promoting sports, participation, and well-being for all — with special attention to those facing disadvantage or vulnerability.

Since 2013, PlayMore! has managed the sports center at Via della Moscova 26 in Milan — a hub for community and connection. Here, you’ll find inclusive multisport programs that bring together athletes with intellectual disabilities and volunteer teammates; multicultural basketball and football teams made up of unaccompanied minors, refugees, and migrants; a solidarity sports initiative offering free access to 150 low-income families; and employment support projects for people from fragile backgrounds.
