Dianova is a non-profit organization that has been working in the field of substance use disorders for over 40 years.
Every year, across the five Therapeutic Communities it runs, Dianova supports hundreds of people in rewriting their life stories.
At the Milano Marathon, Dianova is running for the project “Beyond Addiction, Towards New Directions”, dedicated to the women supported at the Communities of Garbagnate Milanese (Milan) and Cozzo (Pavia). The project aims to promote tailored programmes (self-defence courses, prevention of gender-based violence, health education, etc.) designed to respond to the specific needs of women affected by addiction. This is a complex issue not only because women often face greater difficulties in asking for help, but also because violence, stigma and economic vulnerability represent real barriers.
