Milan, March 9, 2026 – This year Enel is supporting the Family Run, a four‑kilometer run-walk open to everyone, which has become one of the most anticipated events within Milan’s four days of running that begin on Thursday, April 9.
The all‑ages event, organized by RCS Sports & Events, will be held on Saturday, April 11 and, for the first time, Enel will be the title sponsor, thanks to a partnership that once again highlights the energy group’s commitment to Italian sports (football, volleyball, cycling and the Milan-Cortina Winter Games). The energy of movement and the values of teamwork and sustainability, to which Enel is strongly committed, are the same values that characterize one of the most eagerly awaited events for the Milanese public and the many enthusiasts who will choose the Lombard capital for a sports‑focused weekend.
The Enel Family Run takes place between CityLife and the Maspes Vigorelli Velodrome, starting at 9 a.m. Not by chance, the venue is another symbolic site in Milan’s sports landscape, where participants will also be able to walk among the exhibitors’ stands and explore other sports disciplines, in collaboration with local sports clubs.
Over time, the event has changed format, routes and name. Initially launched as the School Marathon, three years ago it evolved into a run increasingly engaging for families—a “day of sports together” aimed at spreading important social values such as sharing and inclusion. A total of 62,000 people took part over the past nine editions, including 8,000 participants last year.
Half of the registration fee will be returned in the form of sports equipment to the school selected by the participant during registration, or the same amount may be donated to A.S.D. Atletica Meneghina for the social project Atletica Assieme, launched in 2018 with the goal of strengthening the relational skills of children with intellectual-relational disabilities through athletics and sport in general.
The goal of the project is to promote the participation of children, young people and their families through joint events and initiatives. A key role is played by the “psycho‑instructors”: specialists in the psychological field, graduates or students in psychology or sports sciences, who act as mediators between the children in difficulty, the athletics coach, and the rest of the group they join.
