SOS Villaggi dei Bambini is part of the SOS Children’s Villages network, the world’s largest organization dedicated, since 1949, to ensuring that children and young people without adequate family care can grow up on an equal footing with their peers, develop their potential, and build an independent future.

In line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, we strictly follow the principles of the Statute, as well as the policies and financial and administrative standards of the International Federation, which operates in 137 countries and territories.

In Italy, SOS Villaggi dei Bambini has been active for over 60 years through eight Programs and SOS Villages located in Trento, Ostuni, Vicenza, Saronno, Mantua, Turin, Crotone, and Milan.

SOS Villaggi dei Bambini welcomes and supports children without adequate family care, offering them protection, growth, and opportunities for an independent future. We host them in SOS Villages or with foster families, ensuring a safe and stable environment. We support care leavers in their journey towards independence and work to prevent family separation by assisting parents in difficulty with dedicated support services.

We focus on the integration of unaccompanied migrant minors, providing them with psychological support, foster care, training, and social inclusion. In emergency situations, we act to protect children separated from their families, ensuring shelter, assistance, and education. In countries with poor infrastructure, we manage schools and medical centers to guarantee access to education and healthcare.

We are committed to advocacy actions aimed at improving policies for child protection and promoting psychological well-being through dedicated initiatives, while constantly training our educational staff.
