ROAD TO SANTIAGO DEL CHILE
Special Olympics World Games 2027 is the biennial solidarity project through which Special Olympics Italy will take part in the Milano Marathon 2026 to support Lombard Athletes who will participate in the World Games in Santiago de Chile, scheduled from October 19 to 31, 2027. The journey toward this important milestone begins at a local level: in order to be selected, athletes must take part in regional and national events. For this reason, the funds raised will be used to organize inclusive sports events in Lombardy and to support the training and participation of Lombard athletes in the 2026 National Games. Supporting this project means promoting social inclusion through sport, offering athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to grow, feel part of a team, and maybe even fly all the way to Chile.
