Fondazione Ospedale Pediatrico Meyer ETS
The Meyer Pediatric Hospital Foundation is taking part in the Milano Relay Marathon with the #RunForMeyer project.
It’s an opportunity to run in support of Play Therapy for the children of Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence.
#RUNFORMEYER SUPPORTS “PLAY THERAPY”
RunForMeyer is a “game for grown-ups” that helps bring play to the youngest patients at the Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence.
Because children are never just patients. They are always, simply, children, even in a hospital ward.
Ther are many reasons to run.
You run to challenge yourself. You run to share a passion. You run because running is the simplest game of all!
Children know it by instinct — they run when they’re having fun, alone or with others.
RUNFORMEYER is a chance to rediscover that instinct and support those children who can’t run right now because they’re in the hospital — but we hope, and believe, that soon they will again!
RUNFORMEYER is a “game for grown-ups” that makes a real difference by supporting the Play Therapy project at Meyer.
Because at Meyer, children are never just patients — they are always, simply, children, even in a hospital ward. Play Therapy is a special kind of care that brings a bit of peace and joy to our young patients and their families, even during hospitalization. The project brings play and theatre into the playroom, the joy of clowns and therapy dogs into the wards, and the soothing sounds of music into their days.
Because at Meyer, smiles are part of the cure.
