Promoting social progress through technology and innovation
We are a non-profit association – promoted by the international legal practice Osborne Clarke – that supports the development and responsible use of technology to contribute to social progress.
We support scientific research projects, awards and scholarships, training and awareness-raising activities in all areas – from health to art and education, to name a few – where innovation and social commitment are crucial.
What have we done so far?
- Purchase of innovative prostheses – made using 3D printing and therefore affordable and customisable – for civilians maimed in the war in Ukraine.
- Provided a Merit Award for students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Course in Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence, an inter-university course offered by the University of Milan, the University of Milan-Bicocca, and the University of Pavia.
- Co-funded a Doctoral scholarship in Health Technologies, Bioengineering, and Bioinformatics, in collaboration with the Centre for Health Technologies (CHT) at the University of Pavia, for the development of new bioengineering solutions in understanding the mechanisms of ischemia in subjects with congenital coronary anomalies.
- Organised an international photography competition for images that have been reworked using AI, with the aim of promoting the use of this new technology and the awareness of both its potential and associated risks.
