RUN, SAVE, RESTORE FREEDOM
Every step protects life.
ENPA Milano is the Milan branch of the National Animal Protection Agency, founded in 1871 by Giuseppe Garibaldi. Every day, across Milan and its surrounding areas, we rescue injured and endangered wildlife, providing veterinary care and temporary shelter before animals can safely return to their natural habitat.
Through our Veterinary Clinic, we also offer accessible or free veterinary services for stray animals and for people facing financial hardship.
In 2027, ENPA Milano will once again take part in the Milan Marathon. Why running for ENPA Milano?
Because every kilometre can help return a hedgehog to a park, give a bird of prey the chance to fly again, or rescue a fox and safely release it back into the wild. This is the real impact of our work every single day — and of everyone who chooses to run alongside us.
Because we are here, on the ground, every day, right where the marathon takes place. Our volunteers work 365 days a year across Milan’s streets, parks, courtyards, and neighbourhoods, rescuing pigeons, blackbirds, swifts, hares, cats, rabbits, and countless other animals in need.
Every mile run becomes faster rescues, urgent medical care, and more animals returned to freedom. Running with ENPA means helping the city breathe and protecting its urban biodiversity through immediate, visible, and tangible action.
Soon, we will launch a dedicated fundraising project connected to the marathon and open our campaign page on Rete del Dono, where you’ll be able to involve friends, family, and colleagues in supporting the initiative.
Run where life needs you. Run with ENPA Milano.
