ENPA Milano

E.N.P.A. MILANO – odv

Founded by Giuseppe Garibaldi in 1871, the Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali   (ENPA) has been working in Italy for over 140 years to protect the rights of all animals, regardless of breed or species.

The Milan subsidiary, one of the largest and most active in the country, is supported by member contributions, donations from supporters, and bequests and legacies. Active 365 days a year in the city and province of Milan, it provides rescue services to wild animals in distress and, within operational limits, to all injured or endangered animals in the area.

The ever-expanding urban area and the thin line separating it from rural areas make wildlife vulnerable and exposed to accidents, injuries and habitat loss. Thanks to the help of citizens and the rescues carried out locally by our rescue vehicles, as of September 2025 we have already rescued 3,483 animals, continuing a growing trend that increasingly strains our limited resources. This achievement fills us with pride… but also with the desire to do even more!

One of our emergency vehicles is almost at the end of its service life, and to continue ensuring rapid and effective interventions, we need a new ambulance. Our goal is to raise at least €25,000, against a total cost of €40,000.

Participate in the Milano Charity Relay Marathon with ENPA Milano: you can run for a concrete cause, become an ambassador for animal protection and biodiversity, and give animals in need a second chance.
